Get Noticed Beyond Your Wildest Imagination

Pretty wild claim, but if you’ve been online for longer than two minutes you have realized that just having a great product or service or something powerful to say won’t necessarily get you noticed.

So how does getting noticed work?

And is there something I can do to accelerate that process?

The answer is “YES”!

This is the maiden blog post for ThinkJack.com.

One of the things that I will be doing here on a regular basis is reviewing books and teachings from master marketers and teachers from the past and the present.

So… I thought I would open with a recommendation for a recently published book.

Amazon ImageIt’s called Platform: Get Noticed in a Noisy World – A step-by-step guide for anyone with something to say or sell. It was written by Michael Hyatt.

I read through it in a day. I’m now reading through it again for a second time.

I will probably dedicate a few posts to this book.

For now I would just give it a hearty recommendation, you can  pick up a copy on Amazon and have it in a couple of days.

Seriously… Just do it.

Below are the first four paragraphs in the introduction:

More than four centuries ago, William Shakespeare wrote, “All the world’s a stage,” and his words are truer today than ever before. If you have something to say – through a blog, a seminar, a book, a song, a screenplay, a sermon, or a stage play – you are on stage. If you have something to sell – whether one-on-one, before a huge crowd, or on the Internet – you are also on stage.

But this stage has never been more crowded – and simply being on it doesn’t matter much if the lights are not shining on you, or if there’s no one in the audience.

This book is all about attracting that audience, turning on the brightest lights you can find, and building passionate loyalty so your audience stays with you through every line, every scene, every act. It is not about ego or being the center of attention. It is about having something of value to others and finding the most powerful way of getting that message to others who can benefit from it.

If you are an aspiring (or already successful) author, artist, musician, public speaker, salesperson, candidate for public office – anyone who has something to say or sell – I want to help you take the stage and get noticed beyond your wildest imagination.

Pick up Michael’s book – It will motivate you to start on your platform.

It’s nice being married to a bookseller… I just say I’ve been thinking about this book and poof it magically appears:-)

I know… I know… you told me about this book weeks ago and I knew then I needed to have it! But finding the time to READ it is what is stopping me! Most likely – once it is in my hands, the time will be found! Thanks for the reminder!

I’m telling ya… you’ve got a lot of great content. The first thing you need to do is move away from blogger and get a self hosted Word Press blog. Word Press blogs are so much more comment friendly. You will be amazed!

I tend not to drop many comments, however i did some searching and wound up here Get Noticed Beyond Your Wildest Imagination.

And I do have some questions for you if you usually do not mind.
Is it only me or does it appear like a few of the remarks
come across like written by brain dead people? 😛
And, if you are writing at additional places, I’d like to follow anything fresh you have to post. Could you make a list of all of your public pages like your Facebook page, twitter feed, or linkedin profile?

Spot on with this write-up, I honestly believe this website needs a great deal more attention.
I’ll probably be back again to see more, thanks for the advice!
